Barney Taylor "B.T." Bowman

Barney Taylor “B.T.” Bowman, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

He was a son of the late Enloe Bowman and Narcie Sneed Bowman. B.T. enjoyed farming, golf, fishing, skiing, and watching various sports in his free time.

He is prcceeded in death by his parents; brothers: Clyde Bowman, Burl Bowman, Earl Bowman, Tony Bowman; infant brother: Marvin Bowman; sisters: Bobbie Emory, Jurl Lovelace.

He is survived by his wife Sherry Bowman; daughters: Tracie (Allen) Howard, Jennifer (Tina) Bowman, Ally Bowman; grandchildren: Nick Howard, Bentlee Cooper Bowman Powers; siblings: Patty Jo Waller, Allen Bowman, Alvin Bowman, Linda Lamb, Mary Farmer, Peggy Bowman; mother-in-law: Jeanette McNeely, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 27th at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Darrell Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Beta Cemetery with Nick Howard, Doug O’Daniel, Mike Dawson, Tommy Harris, Evan Mchone, and Dustin Bidwell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be William Bidwell .

Family will receive friends from 12 noon - 2 p.m. prior to the service.
