Barbara Jean Queen Rice

Barbara Jean Queen Rice, age 78, of Ten Mile, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. She enjoyed watching Tennessee women and men’s basketball, Tennessee football, and her granddaughter play softball at Texas A&M. She was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Jerry E. Rice, parents: Troy and Edna Huff Queen, twin brother: Bobby Queen, brothers: JR Queen, Clyde Queen, sister: Bernice Clayton. She is survived by her children: DeWayne Edward Rice, DeLinda Rice Baker (Michael J), grandchildren: Caysen, Camden, and Cayden Baker, sister in-law: Teenie Queen, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A Private Graveside service will be held in the Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Pat Summit Alzheimer’s foundation. Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the Rice family.
