Barbara Mchone Bales

Barbara McHone Bales, of Decatur, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on March 15, 2024, she was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her son: Anthony Scott Trew; mother: Carrie Mae McHone; father: Rex “Duck” McHone, brothers: JB McHone, Ralph McHone, Dean McHone, Aaron McHone, Clarence “Tootle” McHone, Tommy McHone, Daws “Fats” McHone, sisters: Nella Broadwell-McHone, Shirley McHone Trews, Patricia Jerles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 52 years: Clifford Bales; daughters: Lisa Bales, Pam Trew, son: Allen (Karen) Trew, siblings: Sandra Letner McHone, Rex (Lois) McHone, Gene (Margie) McHone; grandchildren: Amy (Shawn) Crawley, Falon (Steven) Smith, Todd Summers, Anthony (Kallie) Ellington, Jace Trew; great grandchildren: Karinn  Crawley, Lila Brown, Keegan Smith, Lane Smith, Truett Smith, Devin Summers, Kaden Summers, Bronwyn Ellington, whom loved her very much.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the Dexter Bales Family Cemetery in Ten Mile, per Barbara’s request. A private family viewing will be held at 11 a.m., prior to the service.
