Artie Sue Sewell

Artie Sue (Wilson) Sewell, 79, of Chattanooga, TN, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. She was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church, Ooltewah, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. W. (Dart) and Millie Miller Wilson; husband James Sewell; sisters, Belle Brown, Sally Goforth, Ollie Howard, Sarah Jane Porter, Willie Mae Kennedy, Pauline Jarvis and Erna Wilson; 3 brothers, Buddy Wilson, Robert Wilson and Clyde Wilson. She is survived by her son James Steven "Steve" Sewell and his lifelong partner Mike Slaven of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Mary Layman and Bertha Haynes, both of Decatur, TN; two grandchildren, Alexander K. Sewell and Joshua J. Sewell; two of her closes friends Brian Morrison and Tom McVey, both of Chattanooga, TN; and best friend Sammie Woods of Chattanooga, TN; and a host of good friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9th from 5 - 8 pm, with Funeral Service at 8 pm, in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Dowell officiating. Interment will be at 11 am, Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 in the Short Creek Cemetery.
