Arley Ray Cupp

Arley Ray Cupp, age 81, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed being on his tractor, studying God’s Word, Fixing things, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Marie Cupp Sloan, brother: Jessie Hatcher

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Sara Cupp; children: Arlina Young of Decatur, Theresa (Cliff) Moree of Cohutta, Ga; grandchildren: Daniel (Amber) Moree of Cohutta, GA, Hallie (Christian) Godsey, James (Stephanie) Finley; great-grandchildren: Axton Powell, James Finley “Boogie” IV, Kayden Arley Finley, Shaianne (Kenneth) Stanley, Elijah Reece; sister: Molly (Larry) Edwards of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Interment will follow in the Meigs County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Anthony Wade, Cody Trenom, James Finley, Daniel Moree, Tim Edwards, Drew Godsey, and Ricky Nelson.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m., prior to the service.
