Amanda Paige Lankford, age 21, of Etowah, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
Although her life was short, she lived it to the fullest. She always saw the good in people and had the most tender caring heart. She was aspiring to put her heart to good use by becoming a nurse at TCAT.
Amanda loved nature. She often went to hunt Crystals and Mushrooms and spent her free time soaking up the sun, either alone or alongside one of her many friends.
She was truly a sunshine. The brightest star in the night sky, the tallest sunflower in the field. Her absence will be felt by so many but left so many with beautiful memories.
She was welcomed into heaven by her father: George G. Cook; great-great grandparents: Orville “Red” and Amanda E. Locke; grandfather: Dan R. Lankford; many great aunts and uncles.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her mother: Kimberly Lankford; grandparents: Bill and Jerry Davis; aunts and their spouses: Michele (Matt) Tracy, Jacqueline (Jimmy) Locke, Nichole (Ron) Leach; siblings: Brittany Moore, Jackson Locke, Jordan Locke; several cousins and special friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Englewood First Church of God with the Rev. Chris Alexander officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m., prior to the service.
“If ever there was a tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart…I’ll always be with you.” – Winnie the Pooh
