Owner\Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

James is a native of Cleveland, TN and has lived in McMinn County for over 25 years. He has worked in area funeral homes for several years and graduated from the Mortuary Science Program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, AL with an Associate's Degree. He has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of Tennessee since 2006. James is also an ordained Minister and has pastored churches in the area for over 20 years. He and his wife Amber have two children and reside in the Claxton Community in McMinn County.


Sharon Ziegler Stephens

Administrative Assistant

Sharon is a native of Meigs County and a graduate of Meigs County High School and earned an Associate's  Degree in business Management from Cleveland State Community College. She and her husband Ronney live in the Shiloh Community. Sharron has one daughter and one granddaughter.


Wayne Brown

Wayne Brown

Funeral Assistant

Wayne is a native of  Meigs County and lives in the Cotton Port Community and has been active in area funeral home for several years.. Before joining the Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services team he retired as a truck driver. Wayne serves as Deacon at Bethsaida Baptist Church. He has one daughter, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Assistant

Gary is a native of Meigs County and is employed at Shaw Industries. Gary also serves as Pastor of  the Union Grove Baptist Church. Gary is happily married to Darlene  and they have two children. 


Danny Carter

Danny Carter

Funeral Assistant

Danny is a native of Meigs County and lives in the Ten Mile Community. He is a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and he and his wife Patsy are known for their singing ministry, The Carters for the past 40 years. He has two children, one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
